BOE is seeking a motivated and ambitious Traffic Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to work on real-world traffic engineering projects and gain valuable experience in transportation planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in transportation engineering, a dedicated work ethic, and an entrepreneurial spirit. This internship will provide you with unparalleled access to mentorship, real-time feedback, and the chance to develop essential soft skills like
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the analysis of traffic data, including traffic counts, speed studies, and crash data.

Support the development of traffic models and simulations using software tools such as Synchro and AutoCAD.

Contribute to the preparation of traffic studies and transportation design concepts.

Prepare technical reports, memos, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Collaborate with senior engineers on various transportation projects.

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in traffic engineering and transportation planning.
Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
Preferred Qualifications:

Prior coursework or experience in traffic engineering, transportation planning, or a related field.

Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation and AutoCAD.
